Yesterday Gigi told me "read the book momma".

I am in awe of her so much! She is truly our soul mate and such a beautiful soul at that. 

Also she loves her fire girl hat more than almost anything!

Yakkity-Yak

The latest is the vocabulary! Gigi can now speak so much it is mind blowing. Just tonight she told me "Peace Out". Yes our little one is now voicing herself and it is a wonderful thing to hear and be privy to.

November Fun

Ahhh yes...the season of fall is upon us. The leaves are falling and the river is flowing once again! Gigi is enjoying every bit of it-and so is Winnie the Pooh.  We live a charmed life. 

Morning kisses

When I'm putting her to bed she gives me kisses on the hand. When we wake up in the morning she gives us kisses on the face. She loves to have her feet and hands kissed by us. We feel so grateful for this incredible being that loves us so much!

Gigi's Biggest Fan

Gigi's Great-grandma Marj  passed away on September 20. She will be missed so much! They saw each other a lot in the short time they had together. When I would talk to her on the phone Grandma always wanted to be on speakerphone so Gigi could hear her say "I love you a bushel and a peck".  The world will not be the same without her.

Santa Cruz/Oakland Trip!!!

Gigi and I have returned from our adventure. There were jumpy castles and stairs to climb galore! All in all we couldn't have planned a better trip if we tried!

Summer Time Fun!

Gigi loves reading books! Here she is with her daddy doing just that. Also she is fond of finding flora on the deck and showing us her discoveries...But the best thing of all is water fun!

Cousin Love

Gigi and her 3 1/2 year old cousin bonded the other day in our kitchen. She worships him and he thinks she is pretty funny too!

No Momma!

Why is it that most little children love to say that phrase?? Ah well, I guess it goes with the territory. Gigi is saying that about one hundred times a day these days. She is also saying a few phrases...."I did it" "I saw it" "take it" are a few that I have heard in the past week. She is in love with being naked these days and it is difficult to dress her in all the sweet clothes she has. Here some pictures of her - what a cutie!

Paradise

Ahh, Garberville in the Spring. Although it feels like Summer it is only May and so we have been going in the Eel River. Gigi is a little unsure about it, but as long as her legs are the only thing in the water she is a-okay.  She is loving her new "learning tower" and it allows us to do tasks in the kitchen without leaving her out. Her new favorite breakfast is smoothies and she is not afraid to really get into them as you can see in the picture. She has been playing pretend with her dolls, she gives them drinks of pretend liquid and then says "mmmm". Our little girl continues to be the brightest star in our sky.

Chicken drumsticks and bike rides

Gigi attended her first May day celebration yesterday. She saw a sheep, a pony, & a man on stilts. She also saw some live chickens and ate some chicken drumsticks! She also has been getting into riding bikes with us and still loves Nando almost more than anything! The weather here has been really wonderful and we are so lucky to be living in this natural wonderland.

Trippin with Gigi

Well another trip to Stanford-our last one-is over, and Gigi got a clean bill of health. Then we were off to Santa Cruz to see friends and enjoy the Hot Hot weather.  Gigi got a new dress, a big green ball, and a corn popper from her godmother. She loves the new dress so much she gives it to me almost every  morning in hopes that I'll dress her in it.  Also she has been really happy to go to the park by our house ... she can even almost go down the slide without any help!

Easter fun

Gigi and her cousin Dante enjoyed being pulled along in the wagon on Easter Sunday. Gigi felt especially lucky because she found the first egg of the day!

Making up for lost time

She is so cute ! She got a new back tooth today-and a runny nose.

Our family

Well we are back! Gigi is amazing us everyday, but what is new? She is using sign language to tell us when she wants to nurse, when she sees a bird, when she wants more, and when she is thinking about our doggie or kitties. It is really cool to know she understands almost all of our communication. Her nose is all healed up and she is feeling good. She has been spending more time with her dad and I have been able to do a few more things on my own. Life in our neck of the woods is sweet and we feel blessed and very lucky to be able to be together so much. This picture is from her first birthday party 12/31/07.
